Your local Richmond gutter company
Richmond is the Fort Bend County seat, and the county courthouse sits close enough to the Brazos River that a handful of the older downtown streets fall inside the floodplain. That means grading and downspout placement matter more here than in a lot of subdivisions further from the water. The town itself is a mix of two very different housing stocks, and each one gives gutters a different kind of trouble.
Around Pecan Grove Plantation, the golf-course community on the west side, mature pecan and live oak canopies are 30 years old or better. That's a lot of shade, and a lot of husks, leaves, and small limbs falling into gutters nearly year-round. Further out toward Long Meadow Farms, Grand Mission, and Bonbrook Plantation, the trees are younger but the roofs are bigger, two-story stucco and brick homes that a lot of builders under-gutter with 5-inch K-style when the roof area really calls for 6-inch.

What Richmond homes need most
In Pecan Grove, we get called most often for cleaning and gutter guards, since the tree canopy is the biggest recurring issue and most of these homes already have decent gutters. In Long Meadow Farms and Bonbrook Plantation, the more common call is upsizing from 5-inch to 6-inch on the back roofline where two rooflines meet and dump extra water into one run. If your gutters overflow at an inside corner during a heavy storm, that's usually the reason.

What it costs in Richmond
A full seamless system on a typical Pecan Grove single-story home runs close to the county average, $1,000 to $1,800. Larger two-story homes in Long Meadow Farms or Grand Mission, with more roofline and often a 6-inch upsize, run $1,800 to $3,200. Gutter guards added at the same time run $2,000 to $6,000 depending on guard type and linear footage. Every number gets confirmed with a free on-site measurement first.
Richmond questions we hear most
- Do you cover homes near downtown Richmond?
- Yes, including the older streets closest to the Brazos. We pay extra attention to downspout extension on these lots given the proximity to the floodplain.
- Can you match the color on an older Pecan Grove home?
- Usually. We carry dozens of baked-on aluminum colors and can typically match weathered fascia and trim within a shade or two.
One thing we won't do
We won't quote a gutter color over the phone for a home in Pecan Grove Plantation or Bonbrook Plantation. Both communities have an architectural review process for exterior changes, so we confirm the shade against your fascia in person and, where a community requires it, get that color signed off before we order material.
